FMA 2: Brotherhood Episode 1 + The Square

I like the Verdana font.  Think I'll be sticking with this from now on.

Anway, a few things:

(1) Fullmetal Alchemist 2 just came out recently.  Now, I haven't exactly read the beginning of the manga recently, but I can tell that this FMA is going to be quite good (even if it ends up straying from the manga).

Well I just gotta' say that while staring at Ed Elric while he was sitting on the couch at the beginning I noticed how differently this Ed is drawn from the first FMA anime.  FMA2!Ed is pretty much straight out of the manga in terms of drawing.  The eyes and hair color especially (could just be me).  I realized something was strange with the colors and remembered a few manga covers/art books.  I'm actually liking how manga!Ed is drawn more than FMA1!Ed   :3
As for the first episode itself I must say that I don't remember anything like that happening in the manga.  Of course, it's just an introduction into the series so it's only the best that we give them some leeway right now.  It was a VERY nice intro into how the fights are drawn out though.  Me likes.  Me likes LOTS.  I can't say much else except the comedy aspect present in the manga is has also been nicely translated (such as while the alchemists are sitting in the office and during the first encounter of Ed+Al with the ice alchemist (the traditional Ed being short conversation ensues)).
The preview for the next episode looks promising, too.  It's going straight into the flashback of Ed, Al, and Winry's days as children before the "incident".
The opening theme titled "Again" by YUI is just pure awesome.  The animation just amazes me.  The difference in style from FMA1 is clearly present.  I wish I could say more for the ending though.  Titled "Uso" by SID the animation is a nice break from a normal anime ending with a continuation of the same style of drawing, etc.  Instead, it's drawn like something that was pulled off of NicoNicoDouga...which I'm not complaining about at all.  It was just...surprising.  It was cute watching the semi-chibified characters doing random stuff like fighting and sitting around smiling.  But it just seems out of place.  I keep thinking it belongs as an ending for further into the series rather than the beginning.  I dunno.  I guess that's just usually how the anime I've watched have set up their OPs and EDs.  Good music though  ^^   Can't wait for the next episode.

Go check out the first episode HERE.

Armnawn~nawm~nom

Too much school work to do.  And finish my Rena cosplay.  Don't think that's getting done anytime soon...hmm, will look into how long it'll take to sew half a dress by hand later.
At least....7 hours behind on one homework assignment besides that?  Wonderful, wonderful.
But at least it's 7 hours of drawing Chickensaurus Rex with babies hatching left and right.

It's supposed to related to time so...ya' know.  Chickens.  Dinosaurs.  They evolved orsomethinglikethat?

Aaaannnd in other news...

Found some old lineart I had started to color 2 months back after seeing REPO! The Genetic Opera. Decided I'd finish it and make it into a series of songs-pictures from the movie. Next one'll be Zydrate Anatomy :3

Wow my blogging skills are turning out to be absolute crap   >.>
